by Veng Seng Quan Visit Date:April 24, 2012 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "A beautiful place located about 10-15mins easy walk from Railay east. The rooms are very comfortable and have a lovely relaxed atmosphere. They are on the side of a mountain overlooking the sea. The staff are also great and welcoming. When coming with your luggage make sure you get a long tail boat from Ao Mao Pier. The hotel also offers a free shuttle long tail boat from Ao Mao which departs at specific times, so shoot them an email or call them to find out more. There are long tail boats that go to Railay from Ao Nang pier, BUT these take you to the west beach of Railay, not the east. From experience, I would say you would have to be a sucker for punishment (especially if low tide) to try to get to the hotel with luggage via Ao Nang pier. Imagine wading through waist deep sea carrying suitcases out to a little boat...In summary I would say if you are thinking of booking this hotel, then stop thinking and just do it. Trust me, you won t regret it. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |

Basically only the people of this hotel will appear here.Hotel monkeys and other island monkeys are not the same.Restaurant meals is also very good, the key recommendation of BBQ must not miss [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
by Gisela Wolff Visit Date:February 19, 2012 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Great room & stunning swimming pool. Staff are not the friendliest, but location makes up for it. Be warned though it is quite a walk from everything (restaurants, bars, beaches) especially if you arrive on Railay West. But if you like the more rugged, escape from the crowds, would definitely recommend this. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
by Vasilevskaya Viktoria Visit Date:February 11, 2012 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Отличный отель для романтического времяпрепровождения. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
by KJS Visit Date:February 2, 2012 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "I was deeply impressed with the quality of service and general helpfulness of the hotel staff. Our room was clean with tasteful decor and a fantastic view of the ocean. The bathroom was an interesting space, but be careful to not turn the faucet to a high temperature - the water quickly gets unbearably hot and I burned my hand. Finally, the pool is awesome. The only piece of cautionary advice I have for potential guests is be prepared to walk. The hotel is a bit of hike from the beach and can be tricky to find. After the initial frustration of getting lost on our way to the hotel, I actually enjoyed the seclusion from some of the riff raff that you ll find on Railay. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |

by Chen Yu Visit Date:July 12, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "The resort rooms are beautiful and well maintained but the location of the hotel is very bad. It is far away from all the action--rock-climbing sites, meet-up areas for island-hoping tours, restaurants and bars. The dirt road that leads to the central area (where the restaurants and shops etc are) is a long road. And one definitely cannot take this road at night, since it passes through the sea and rocky pathways. Potentially dangerous. And not a pleasant walk when it is raining. The free shuttle boat service has very limited timing--I would advise the hotel to open up more timings for future guests, since I think the shuttle boat is the best way to get out of the hotel to the central area. Unless one wants to take the boat service out at night (and pay 500 baht for it), one is pretty much stuck in the hotel from 6pm onwards. I would also hesitate to take the shuttle boat service at night, out into the murky waters, alone (I took it once at 7.30pm and it was completely pitch black at sea, with myself and the boatman) So this was also a problem. I would also advise guests to stay in the resort when it is fully completed. There was no spa and the swimming pool was not completed. The incomplete swimming pool was not a problem for my family and I, but since we were pretty much stuck in the hotel from 6pm onwards, it would have been nice to check into the spa, especially after a tiring island-hoping tour and the long walk back to the hotel via the dirt road! Why my family ended up walking the dirt road back: The hotel staff did not inform us on their own initiative where, in the central Railay East, we could catch the shuttle boat back to the hotel. I think the hotel staff were eager to serve, but language skills hampered their ability to help. For example, I rang for toothbrush, but no one on the line understood what toothbrush was. The restaurant complimentary breakfast was very good; so is the food at the restaurant. And at decent price. I think the construction of the resort--a hut for each pair of guests, and secluded amongst lush greenery, with very romantic interior--is a great concept. Pity the lack of planning on how to balance peaceful seclusion with accessibility . [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
by Darcy Deloy Dorscher Visit Date:February 6, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Nice cottages and view, but that is all that is good about the resort. Beach at resort is not very good and you have to walk at least 30 minutes to good beach. Breakfast and service was terrible, and they should take the word Spa out of the resort title." |
by Yue Hou Visit Date:January 4, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "A new and nice hotel. Good and friendly service. It s a good place for people who want to sleep well at night - it is far from Railey east beach and the bars. If you want to party at night, this hotel might be a bit far - you need to walk on a trail for 10min to get to the last bar ." |
by Daphne Gunn Visit Date:January 3, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "The resort is beautiful set in amongst trees. As a result there are a lot of insects about, but this didn t really bother us as it s part of being in an exotic country. The rooms are nicely decorated and adequately spacious with an outdoor balcony to sit on. The resort is on a steep hill, which might be a problem for older guests. The staff were always extremely friendly and helpful, and would try hard to meet our needs. The location is a bit far from the rest of Railay but is perfect if you just want to relax away from it all, it is very quiet and not much going on. However if you want to visit Railay beaches you can either take the resorts timetabled longtail boats or do a trek through forest for about 10 minutes. One of the days we kayaked to Railay East beach for lunch! There is a restaurant and mini-mart at the resort. I would definitely recommend this as long as you don t mind it being a bit cut off from the rest of the Railay hub- for us it wasn t and we did the jungle trek (sometimes twice) every single day. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
